The Island | Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth)
The Island is the newest crag in Nelson Mandela Metro & is about 35km from Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). The Island is an actual island on a small natural lake tucked away in a valley of pristine indigenous forest.The Island is one of Gqeberha's hidden gems. There are 33 sport lines, 2 are still projects & 46 trad lines opened.
Access:
The owner is very environmentaly conscious & wants to keep The Island pristine. His sons are climbers & are they are happy for climbing to be developed, but access is strictly controlled & by prior arrangment. There is a gate with security.
