NSA | New South Africa | Climbing in East London
NSA is the main rock climbing area in East London. There are 79 routes; 62 bolted routes, 17 trad lines & 11 boulder problems. NSA has flat base & is really close to East London. All the projects are opened & there is very little scope for new lines. Rock is vertical smooth mud/silt stone.
Shaded from 10H00 in summer & all day shade in winter. NSA is a good crag all year round. Fairly sheltered from the wind & dries fairly quickly. 350m or 5 minutes of flat walk-in.
NSA has seen its fair share of "well-known" climber visitors. Greg Childs, Keith James, Ed February, Paul Brouard, & even Adam Ondra.
Access:
NSA is on the edge of privately owned land, accessed via municipal land. No restrictions.
