Kirkwood | Rock Climbing
The Wall at Kirkwood is a thin wafer of quartz about a meter thick. Climbing is on both sides. There are 4 sport lines & 10 mixed or trad lines. Very limited potential for new lines.
More than 10 years after this crag was discovered, this sweet wall lay completely forgotten, till it was re-discovered after Andrew Wesson’s RDs re-surfaced. This re-discovery was followed by a single rainy day of development in the early 2000s, where the remaining lines were plundered. Unfortunately all the routes are a bit short, but good fun and super limited walk in. Walk-in is 30 seconds maximum.
Access
Totally unrestricted.
